Pay: $30/hour — $300 per event ( 8–10 hours, includes setup & teardown)Position Overview
The Event Lead plays a key role in representing KAMEA at community markets and pop-up events. This person ensures that our booth is transported, set up, and managed efficiently while creating a warm and welcoming experience for our customers. Ideal candidates are outgoing, dependable, organized, friendly, responsible, and comfortable handling physical tasks.
Key Responsibilities
Hauling & Logistics
Load, transport, and unload products, tents, and display materials to and from event sites (vehicle provided).
Ensure all products and equipment are handled with care and accounted for before and after each event.
Booth Setup & Teardown
Set up tents, racks, displays, and merchandise according to brand guidelines.
Break down booth efficiently, ensuring everything is packed and stored properly.
Event Operations
Oversee booth operations during market hours, ensuring the space is clean, organized, and inviting.
Support sales and provide excellent customer service to shoppers.
Problem-solve on-site as needed (e.g., weather changes, setup adjustments).
Team Collaboration
Work closely with the KAMEA team to ensure smooth event flow.
Serve as a reliable point of contact during setup, market hours, and teardown.
Qualifications
Must have a valid Hawaiʻi driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable driving larger vehicles (van provided).
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Friendly, dependable, and a team player.
Previous experience in retail, events, or customer service a plus.
Schedule
Per event basis, typically Saturdays, weekends, or evenings depending on market schedule.
Must be available for early load-in and post-event teardown.
Compensation
$30/hour — about $300 per event (about 10 hours per/market includes setup & teardown).

This role focuses on setup, sales support, and maintaining an organized and welcoming environment for shoppers. Ideal candidates are friendly, detail-oriented, outgoing, and enjoy connecting with customers.
Key Responsibilities
Booth Setup & Breakdown
Assist with unloading, setting up tents, displays, and merchandise.
Help break down and pack up the booth efficiently at the end of each event.
Sales & Customer Experience
Greet customers with aloha and offer assistance as needed.
Support sales by bagging items, restocking displays, and maintaining a clean, organized space.
Provide excellent customer service and help create a positive, memorable shopping experience.
Event Support
Keep the booth tidy, visually appealing, and well-stocked throughout the event.
Assist the Event Manager with any on-site needs.
Qualifications
Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented.
Comfortable interacting with customers and representing the KAMEA brand.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Strong attention to detail and willingness to take direction.
Previous experience in retail or events is a plus but not required.
Schedule
Per event basis, typically Saturdayʻs, weekends, or evenings depending on the market schedule.
Must be available for both setup and teardown times.
Compensation
